Very slwoly, the last few months of careful planning and consideration are falling into place and beginning to show fruition. this is my humble shout out to Jesus to say thanks...because without him none of it is possible. ...also shout outs go to you, my friends, because you listend to my endless complaining and belly-aching...thanks so much. (^_^)
and as such, I encourage you to check out her icon posts. Her latest (which happen to be Tron icons) can be found here . Moving along, I also want to do a "300" questionaire!
It is no secret we will be seeing this movie. As such, I want to make sure everyone has the chance to get in on the fun. That said here goes. The movie comes out on Friday the 9th. Now, like most of you kids there IS a thing called work and or responsibility. I get off work usually at 6PM on Friday (sometimes later depending on what labors I have to complete). Also, I have to work the following Saturday (3/10) from 8 until about 5Pm depending on how long filming lasts. I have also been approached about karaoke. As far as I am concerned, the following weekend would be best for me...or atleast a day showing on Wednesday. Let me know what you kids want to do please. We could make a day of it and do both karaoke and a movie...OR we could do as JE proposed and do IMAX 300 and bowling (which I strongly encourage and prefer). Either way let me know what's good with you all...oh, yea! we don't even need to do it all in one shot. Karaoke one day and 300/bowling another; whatever works for you guys. Please get back to me so I know and we can schedual accordingly.

It wouldn't be me if I didn't say anything about this. Not sure as to where I should start....oh, no LJ cuts.
"[...] [Y]ou only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love[...]" -"The Drum Major Instinct", a sermon by Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., 1968
A man I respect more than most leaders of contemporary "leaders" was assassinated for his ideals and growing international movement. I suppose it was a most shameful idea that humanity was born equal in the eyes of God. I find it odd, the idea that people can profess that they believe and love a God of love and redemption and still manage to brutalize and oppress everyone that does not look like them. This idea of racial supremacy is one that seems to haun humanity. It seeps into the minds of people and they suddenly believe their culture is superior and no other person has a right to live, dream and excel beyond what is given. Yet, here, I believe I am digressing from my point.
I guess I'll just give a time line and give some quotes.
"One of the great liabilities of history is that all too many peple fail to remain awake through great perids of social change . But today our very survival depends on our ability to stay awake,to adjust to new ideas, to remain vigilant, and face the challenge of change. The large house in which we live demands that we transform this world wide neighborhood into a world wide brotherhood. We must work passionately and indefatigably to bridge the gap between our scientific progress and our moral progress."
1929-Born to Rev. and Mrs. Martin Luther King, Sr in Atlanta, GA

1948-Becomes an associate minister -Graduates from Morehouse w/. BA in Sociology - Enters Crozer Theological Seminary in Chester, Pennsylvania. After hearing Dr. A. J. Muste and Dr. Mordecai W. Johnson preach on the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, he begins to study Gandhi seriously. (The struggles of one and fight for justice is never wasted.)
1955-Dr. King receives a Ph.D. degree in Systematic Theology from Boston University -The first day of the Montgomery bus boycott and the trial date of Mrs. Parks. A meeting of movement leaders is held. Dr. King is unanimously elected president of the Montgomery Improvement Association.
1956- United States District Court rules that racial segregation on city bus lines is unconstitutional -Federal injunctions prohibiting segregation on buses are served on city and bus company officials in Montgomery, Alabama. Injunctions are also served on state officials.Montgomery buses are integrated.
1957- King featured on the cover of TIME. -Dr. King delivers a speech for the Prayer Pilgrimage for Freedom celebrating the third anniversary of the Supreme Court’s desegregation decision. The speech, titled, “Give Us The Ballot,” is given at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. -The first Civil Rights Act since Reconstruction is passed by Congress, creating the Civil Rights Commission and the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice. *SEPTEMBER 9*
1958-Dr. King is stabbed in the chest by Mrs. Izola Curry, who is subsequently alleged to be mentally deranged. The stabbing occurs in Harlem, New York while Dr. King is autographing his recently published book. His condition was said to be serious but not critical

King becomes a great deal more vocal about anti-Vietnam sentiment.
1967-Dr. King attacks the government’s Vietnam policy in a speech at the Chicago Coliseum -Established the "Poor People's Campaign" for all people regardless of race
1968-April 3:Dr. King’s last speech titled “I’ve Been to the Mountain Top” is delivered at Mason Temple in Memphis, Tennessee. -April 4:Dr. King is assassinated as he stands talking on the balcony of his second-floor room at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis. He dies in St. Joseph’s Hospital from a gunshot wound in the neck. -April 9:Dr. King is buried in Atlanta, Georgia.
What began as a fight for southern black people blossomed into a greater call for international equality and cooperation. It was a stand against the established order and the injustice which it stood for. It was a vision of what humanity was capable of acheiving yet still too blind to see. Passivist until the end, revolutionay in spirit, the movement created by Rev. King pulled from all corners of history and philosophy from across the world. I find it amazing that hatred and violence is what gave success to the Civil Rights Movement. I suppose the greatest part of all of it, is my gratitude for his sacrifice and those of countless others who have not been named. Because some one was bold enough to stand up for what was right, I have the opportunity to write this here today. I have had the opportunity to get an education and live in the safety and security of where I have been able to.
The most important lesson is that the facts are the facts, history is history and the crimes of the past can never be undone. It can only be learned from and used as a tool to create a better future. To neglect or forget is a disservice to lives that have been sacrificed by blacks and whites alike.

Oh, and if my words didn't get to you...may photos will. *be warned, my people's history is loaded with lynching and violence...so enjoy the visuals (^_^)*
Before
An ax to the back of the head, barbed wire used for ropes, an open casket funeral. Oh, yea..he was 14. He had a stuttering problem and whistled when he couldn't pronounce a word. Unfortunately he was speaking to a white woman when he whistled.
Racism causes cancer
Yes, that is a woman.
The Omaha Courthouse Lynching of 1919 Yes, his is on fire. This particular lynching is notably disgusting. Strung up to a nearby lamp post, Mr. Will Brown was sprayed with bullets, taken down, set on fire and finally tied and dragged from the back of a car. To add insult to injury, the ropes used were sold for 10cents a peiece. God bless America.
One last lesson for you:
Way to go FLORIDA!! NOt only are you home to the vacation capitol, you are also home to the lynching capitol, too!
(I have foused on injustice in the south, let us not forget the north and other territories were littered with just as much injustice, as well. Racism comes in many forms and the battle of racial supremacy has varying tactics)
If you don't know your history, you're doomed to repeat it......
Hate is a dead thing, who of you will be tomb.....
Anyone interestedin architecture? If you are and willing to do work in computer graphics, then Leopard Films is looking for interns. Umm, basically if you're interested or know anyone that is let me know and get in contact with me. All you need is to be able to work about 2days a week at the studio in NY and be willing to do stuff. But should you be interested let me know! I'll give more details if need be.
So, yeah, how's 'it going all? In regards to the completely irrelevent things Nebby has been up to, I guess this, in the soup of silliness, floats to the top. Been reading/watching Monster. I came across the title while looking for Death Note. *Aside from my current addiction to Dexter (courtesy of Exploding_Candy) it's pretty darn good....so go and watch it!!* Moving along, basically it's just following the life of a simple doctor from Japan practicing brain surgery in Germany. He's got the "hot girlfriend" and a promisng career and then he saves a young boy's life rather than the mayor who arrived after the boy to the hospital (he was having a bad day. He let a poor Turk die to save an Opera singer ealier that day). Afterwards, our young doctor finds himself up to his neck in hot water, loosing his special status , his money, his dignity and his woman. Oops, right? No, no, it gets better. A night of liver-melting binge drinking ensues and our doctor awakens to the pleasantries of vermon, filth and rotting aroma therapy. That same night all those that took his status and career are then murdered and our hero is thrust back to the top. Unfortunately for him, one of those people happends to be the director of the hospital and the father of his former fiancee.I haven't gotten much farther...but it seems death follows this guy around by the heels(even if he is a doctor, that logic can only be used so much). It's interesting thus far, but hey, I have been wrong about good stories before (but for some reason I feel this should prove to be good through to the end). I suppose the fact that it opens quoting the book of Revelations also got my attention. I mean, who can turn away a story talking about "The mark of beast", visions of the End Times and the Anti-Christ?
It'll make you think twice about helping a dying child with a bullet in his head over a politician.
Also, on the topic of good reading, I've picked a copy of Haunted by Chuck Palahnuik. I've been reluctant to read it based on the cover. Now, I've always been one to say that old cliched line about judging books based on covers...but the cover was just damn freaky and I didn't want to touch it. So I finally decide to buy it off a whim while book shopping with mine olde sister Kimberly. She said the back sounded like something I would like...she was sooo right. Basically, it's a series of poems and short stories strung together to tell the story of 13 people (writers of people) thrust into a desperate situation where they are locked in a hotel of sorts and aren't allowed to leave for 3months. Now,after answering a personal add for a writer's colony, they are told to bring one bag and one bag alone, nothing more. They are given food rations...which inevitably runs out. It's a great horror story because it looks into the darker parts of the human soul and brings into play the baser instincs of humanity and the question, "what would you do to stay alive?" It's really interesting because it forces you to read between the lines and see exactly what is going on through reading their fictional writings. Any person that can write this well, having no character's writing styles sound the same is def. worth reading. This was something I wasn't expecting and I am super glad I finally started reading it. I am completely impressed by the whole book in itself, writing style and all. I have been lacking faith in the writers of our age and this is def. something I reccomend picking up. It's completely repulsive and grotesque...yet I can't put it down. Everytime I tell myself, "enough", I just keep reading. There are somethings that shouldn't be written...well, he writes them and creates an amazing world or filth, nausea and utter comedy. Hey, the guy wrote Fight Club I shouldn't be suprised. It gives me chills how much I am enjoying this.
I am in search of what Hatguy calls Transmetropolitain. Hmm...his description, despite utterly lacking, has inspired my desire to read it. I think it was the part where he describes the main character complaining about being cold in his car because he forgot to put the windows down before launching a rocket into a bar full of people he hated that sold me on it. It wasn't that he just killed a bunch of people, it's that he was cold in his car...priceless. He also describes it as the best depiction of the future since it's the most practical. Previously we were discussing how stupid the futuristic world of Minority Report was being that it's 50years in the future.
Started a new job working for a publicist. It's only part time and the rest of my week is split with an internship at Leopard Films as a casting assistant to the Casting Director. He's a really cool chap and I do fancy him quite a bit. It's great bc. most of the people in the office are British (since the show came over from Enland and all), so I get to hear all the hot British accents I want. Interning at Leopard has been fun and I really like it. They produce the show "Hidden Potential". Basically, it's my job to screen people and book them for the show. I also get to go on shoots and chill on set. Also, I get all the free coffee and bagels I can eat o(^o^)o. Some how, when I went back and read that...it made me feel a bit pathetic (oh, the things that make us happy). The people are nice and it's a great work enviroment, it's a wonderful place. To be honest, I'm actually really happy with most of the choices I've made thus far. I mean, the one thing I couldn't stand would be leading a boring and ordinary domesticated life. A life to be lived and dramatized into a memoire...that's the ife I want.
Looking to invest in a new phone. Now, I really want the Chocolate (bc. I LOVE chocolate (^_^) ) but I was also eyeing the Razor. I'm really swinging towards chocolate....comments, opinions, suggestions?
I'm assuming we're all familiar with the Supreme Court case Brown v. Board of Ed., Topeka Kansas. Since I'm going under that assumption I'll state the following. I was listening to the radio today and some very.....interesting discussions came up. I won't call it distressing since it's an actual reality. The US government has seen fit to become more lax on its standard in regards to allowing gender seperated schools/classrooms etc. to be operated with government funding so long as these schools are...*gasp* "seperate but equal". This made my ears itch a bit when I heard this. XM Radio has stolen my heart and the stations operating all have something to offer. Now, what really gets interesting is when the host brought up racially seperated schools and classrooms. He asked the question, "what IS seperate but equal and what does it really mean? People phoned in, gave their opinions and the program went on. I was surprised by the number of people that actually supported segregated classrooms. With a predominantly black audience, these people basically were saying the Black America was better off during the times of segregation (in regards to taking care of "our own"). I didn't have a problem with the discussion, nor did I have a problem with opinions...what irked me was the possibility segregation becoming ok once again in our society. People sacrificed so much to intergrate, and the thought that their labors were in vain makes me a bit sad. I think this is the start of something far deeper than what in anticcipated. To say that its ok to seperate based on sex, what's to say that people won't try to begin seperation based on race...and we see what becomes of that kind of society. There's a great deal I could comment on this. I suppose the only other thing I can say is that it only takes on domino to make the rest fall.
I have another post for later tonight on Kogepan...because burnt bread is apparently sarcastic.
The link was taken from exploding_candy . It's a link to a deleted chapter fom Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. So enjoy it if you like. I thought it was all sorts of fun! >Miranda Piker
Oh, and since election time is coming up sooo soon, I figured I would take this moment to say a few words. Please vote. I'm being serious here. I realize that we all have differing opinions on issues, but it really would be a shame if you didn't vote. I won't tell you who to vote for, it's not my place nor is it cool or right. Coming from my perspective, it's pretty much a sin to throw away your vote. There is a lot going on in our present day and it's up to us to do as much as we can to make a change for the better. My bloodline is not far removed from slavery or Jim Crowe. My father was the first in his community to enter into an integrated school and that was in 1971; my father is 48years old. My great-grandmother was one generation removed from slavery. At least for my people, voting has been a battle for equality, freedom and the recognition of their humanity. So please, if you really feel like you need to change something, cast a vote... no matter who it is for.
They say money can't buy love and that you are not what you own. While these things remain true...I can't help but want something so much I've been salivating over it ...even in my dreams (well, not really...but it COULD happen). What makes it all the more tricky is that god-forsaken British pound!!!! CURESE YOU and YOU'RE VILE ECONOMIC SUPREMACY!!! *tears* Oh, you may wish to know what it is that I'm just dying to own. Well, it is none other than this:
for the ever so modest price of just 150pounds you too can own such a lovely peice. Now, being that I am so very cheap, I'll just have to find the closest replica I can possibly find on the fair streets of NY. It is my mission to find this baby and give her a nice resting place upon my finger.Oh, and no...I'm not really this shallow...I just like pretty things.
Last night, as a sped away from Mville, I managed to get home mildly exhausted and with in 1.5hrs. Barreling down the highway at speed close to 85, I realized I wasn't being at all safe to my fellow drivers so I decided it was not only in my best interest to slow down, it was in everyone else's around me, as well. Looking back on the day, I can honestly say I'm glad I visited. I got to see onld friends and faculty I had been very keen on and who had also assisted me throughout my time at Mville and I also got to catch up with them, too. Heard all sorts of stories about everyone and new people hopping about. I'm glad they're all enjoying their time at school and hope it all stays well. I think the highlight of my trip was hangin out with jordan_baker and shoorihoshi. After hanging out in JB's suite for a bit we decided that we should venture out and invited SH to come along. I really never had a lot of female friends so it was nice to finally have some more I can not only respect as individuals, but also have "girl talk" with. We hit the road about an hour after planned departure and burned rubber in my Golden Chariot of pimped out hotness and enviormental destruction. Food was a given in any girl outing and, as always, shopping commenced in full force! Payless is having a boot sale...so you know that was number 1 on my, "places I must go or I'll cry" list of actions for the day. Unfortunately, as fate would have it, there was not but unfabulous footware plaguing my eyes. We hopped on by the mall and I got to see Tatiana in her Witch gear at work...lovely. Also saw Hat Guy and everyone's favorite Umbro. Saw Mark's art display and then trailed off to IP with the crew I hadn't been out with for a while. I also got to see V and her happiness and high energy was completely contageous. I realized when I awoke this morning I had a voicemail and I had missed a call from someone I had gone out of my way to see...but I didn't get to see him...*sniffles*. Why call at 1AM when you know I'm gone?! Apparently it's just to say, I'll call you again soon. All in all it was a nice side quest and I wouldn't have had it go any other way.
Ok, I've officially lost my sanity. Work consumes my life and my muscles are so tight, they feel like rubberbands about to snap! That said..I LOVE MYJOB. I dont' mind putting in those 9-8 or 9-6 hours anymore. I mean, shite, who can say they work for a move?! ANyways, my cognitive thought has gone to poo and I can't realything much anymore. We were shooting in Astor place on Friday, but THursday we were a bit more up town at a place called "Olympic Restaruant" if youw ant the addy, ask me later since idon't remember. These kids that lok my age, maybe younger walk up to the set and start taking food. THey loked a bit odd to me, but it didn't set in why until I saw them start scartching there arms and the like. I was like, "Whoa! How are you that young and that strung out on drugs"? I was saddened and disturbed by it. I had to tell them to take whatever they wanted and go. I felt like the most orrible person. I wanted to help them out...but I couldn't do anything for them. It madde me feel really blessed with my life and the decisions I've made (ie, not do drugs) for myself. It's just creepy to kow that could be me, but thank God it isn't. I shuddered. But to make it "funny" some one made a comment about the "dirty junkies" crashing out set. Granted it was funny, but I fet bad about laughing about it later....but it's still funny now. (does that make me a bad person?) Alas, Ms. Stiles is a perfectionist. Plum really wants her to wrap it up, she's costing money. She does everyshot like 8 different times and in 30 different ways. Its great to see her dedication...but whatever. Hmm...what else? Oh! Yesterday I had to work, so we're sitting in the office literaly doing nothing...so Eliza (coworker) starts talking abouthollywood gossip and diffrent movies she's worked on. Soon every one just starts jutting out information on people they've worked with and things I enver knew about celebs. It's kinda funny, I enver cared about it before...but I was still intently listening to everything..*sigh*. It was just nice to have fun convos. Hmmm...I must say, taking a Lugowski class payed off somewhat. I took some small bits I remembered from his class and used it in my interview and at work so people think I know ....stuff? ha! never thought that would happen. oh, well. Welp kiddies, i'll update more a julia and answer any questions that have been left un attended. Oh, and next time I'll edit my entries...time is a precious resource I lack.
Random- Thanks to Porca, Budha, Chad, Maria and Ray for Friday!!! I had a reat time unwinding after a hard days labor!! Maria...I'm safe. I'll tell about last night when I call you, k? Take it easy ya'll!
Ok, so a quick update on Nebby. Hmm...we start filming on Wednesday and it ends on Saturday. It's a short film, so I'm just excited bc. it's my first. I've been courting the art department furiously because I love their creativity and ability to work in their own capacity. I'm rather jealous since all I do is pre-production stuffage. I get things signed and call people, fax, get permits and other assorted things that have to get done that do not require a creative hand. Yet, at the same time, I feel like I'm working on a more creative side of myself. Anyways, I'm just happy with what's going on in the life of Julina. So here comes an actual story. So I had to run up to Harlem to drop off some paper work at a movie set uptown. I find myself on 122nd and Lenox...they're filming the movie "American Gangster". I got to stay on set for a bit and watch the filming...it was fun. It's staring Denzel Washington and Russel Crowe (shite, I know I spelt that wrong and I'm toooo lazy to correct it). It's being directed by Ridley Scott. I was so excited to be there...I couldn't stop smiling when I left. I was a happy little jellybean. Umm..yeah...not much else going on....I work, I go home and go to bed and move my stuff. I couldnt be happier at present. I've been getting little suprises from all around these last few days all of which are amounting to splendiferousness. Hmm...I think that's about it. Oh! I cut my hair and straightened it out. I'll post a picture soonish, I guess. One day I'll stop cutting it and keeping it short. I wanna add some color to it...but I really seem to like it because I forgot just HOW black my hair was. I dod rather fancy the look with accompanied with face painting. Well, take it easy folks. I'm going out to Brooklyn in a bit to take some photos. I love Brooklyn Heights, I wanna live there sooo ooooo oooo oooo bad! It's such a wonderfully wonderous location. It has everything I want. So hopefully I'll be able to move there one day.
Ok, since I didn't want to jinx this and it all happened all so suddenly to me and all...I just wanted say that littleaznpiggy was completely right about a lot of things we talked about. "I believe that as long as you keep living something good is bound to happen". While I DO believe this, it's hard to see that silver cloud at times. Ma-Wong you are and will continue to be MY hero. There a few I can say I look up to...you are one of them. But yea...back to the point. While I wasn't hired at NipponTV, another suitor came to my door for employment.
It is said that, "When God closes a door, he opens up a window". I see this as just a way to feel the breeze. We never know what plan God has for us in life. When one path pursued leads to an alley it eventually opens up to some new path or road. I've been so desperate to get out of NY, I've failed to see and seize several opportunities for myself...this is where I say, "No More." The thought of movie production never crossed my mind...ever. I love tv, it's what I stumbled into and what I fell in love with. I never really had a desire to work in the movie biz, but I see this as a stepping stone for something I can make my own.
I now work for a production company named Plum Pictures. More precisely, Raving, LLC. This is a film written and being direct by none other than Ms. Julia Stiles. I got the script today and everything.
You may ask, "Julina why the hell are you working for that woman?!" Well...expericence and exposure folks. I met the crew today, they're all really nice people. I hit it off really well with a woman named Eliza and a guy who I'll call Greg (bc. I can't remember his name) he sits right across from me, too. *sigh*. He just walked up behind me in the elevator and introduced himself in a random not so creepy sorta way. He's coolness. I should really remember his name bc. he's one of the higher ups, tooooo. Anyways, that's my news. I'll be trucking around lower manhattan hence forth. I'm really glad I took this year off now and decided to work and explore myself in a more artistic manner and develope my talents. Sure, I'm a weee bit in poverty and have to work odd jobs to eat...but that's life, right? I'm young and I'll have stories they can tell when I die. When asked by my birthgivers what sparked my interests so far from my studies, I couldn't even answer them. I think I told them my soul was mourning my life thus far as it could only watch its death as it was a slow a tortuous process (or something like that). Upon that, they simply stopped asking and resigned themselves to watch what happens and smile best they can. I mean, the poor people were given such a strange daughter....they HAVE to see what developes.
I have recently finished watching the first two acts of Spike Lee's documentary, When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts. For anyone who has not seen it, I highly encourage you to do so.
No rant on government, politics and the social construct.
Ok guys and dolls, here's the newest bits from Blue Nebby. As I stated before, my phone decided to start doing crack and it must have had a bad hit or something. Anyways, after a short sticth in rehab it's come out and is willing to rejoin the world at large. Unfortunately, my dearest soulmate has lost its wits and needs to be reminded of its contacts and who really loves it. If you would, drop me a line or some shiz and I'll add you back into my phone and it will be moved to know it's still loved by those it rejected for the snowman. Thank you and good luck.
Ok, firstly let me say that earlier this week I brok my cell phone in some way or another. Also, let me mention I am no great story teller, so this will be no work of art. All I know is that one day the bloody thing wouldn't turn on and I was left sad and lonely without my baby. Flashforward oh say...4days and I was the Verizon store patiently awaiting my designated techie to fix my phone. These poor lads had no idea what was coming their way. I take my seat and wait for my turn to return once again so I can find out what is wrong with the blasted thing so I can be about my business. After taking my seat a woman walks up to the counter. Looking at her you think, "My, she spent one tooo many days in the tanning bed". As I sit there, nose in book, I hear, "What F*** is wrong with you people?!" After that, it was all downhill. After a blizzard of foul words that would make a sailor cringe, she begins to scream across the counter at the man that looked as if he wanted to push her face into a wall. People left the store, women grabbed their children and walked outside and men stared in horror as she vomitted out words I can't even repeat. She began to call them liars and incompetant fools and the like. She carried on scdreaming for about 20min. I thought she would get tired and leave...she didn't. Her phone apparently had gotten wet and wasnt' covered under warranty and she couldn't quite deal with the notion that she would have to pay for another. Alas, the more belligerent she became, the more other cutomers, such as myself, began to get irrated at the woman. The funny part of such events came when I found out the man sitting next to my mother was a state trooper. He was waiting for the moment the woman got out of control to take her down. I was kinda hoping it would come to that. She even went so far as the start cursing at my father who was standing next to her with another sales rep guy. Who curses at a Reverend? Apparently this woman. I was scared of this amazon because she looked like she ate babies!!! Babies!!! I think she'de give Condi Rice a run for the "Scariest Bitch" award. Oh, Condi may have intellect and fangs on her side, but this woman could KO a grown man with her mouth. When the dust finally settled, she left the store...without a phone, as she had previously stated that she wanted a new phone for free. There be some crazy peeps in 'dis here world...and last night I crossed paths with one.
Well, I just finished a call that sent me off the walls. My dreams are falling into place, I suppose. For any of you who have been around me as of late, the mood has been rather...grim? Anyways, I recieved an email from NipponTV and they want an interview. Well, rational Julina says not to get excited..since it is just an interview...but, as you all know, I am not a rational person. My nerves are absolutely ting'ling. I'm excited...a lot. Mr. Sato spoke with me and wants on interview...unfornately I have to fly down to D.C. I want this job. I can get uber good at japanese and get paid for it. I loves TV and well, news and modern events is what I love the most. I'm a bit scared of working for a Japanese company, though. Well, fear is meant to be crushed. I hope I get this job, I'll be outta NY *sniff* but starting something wonderful. I can get tuition breaks at Catholic University if I get in, too! In my folly I have this all planned out in my head...we'll see what reality has to say about this. His only concern is the level of my Japanese. Though the position does not require Japanese skills (which is why I applied), he said it's a bonus. I calmly explained to him that my linguistic skills are more inclined towards reading and writing rather than oral communication. While my understanding of Japanese is pretty good when being spoken to, it begins to fail when I'm the one speaking. I have about 2weeks to improve my japanese. Anyone have any suggestions in that arena? Fluency wasn't required, but I have faith in my ability to learn. Well, let's see..I think that's about it. I find out on the 14th all the final business on travel and such. Hmmm..??? Oh, I never said what the job was. It's a news producer position. Basically, I would have to go to briefings and such write news stories, fit them for tv and shadow producers. I mean, if this isn't what I've been lusting after, I don't know what is. Ground floor learning experience in news/tv/production. My prayers are so obviously gonna be consumed with this. I shouldn't be so self-centered in my prayers seeing as the world is going to Hell in a handbasket....but I can't help but want those great things for myself. Anyways, yeah, that's that. Wish me luck everybody! *AAAAHHHH***!!!!!!!!
